CALLING ALL COLLEGE STUDENTS- AND YOUNG ADULTS- WITH SUMMER AVAILABILITY!
Did you know that the Archdiocese of Milwaukee has it's own summer missions opportunities? As part of the Office of Evangelization & Catechesis, we provide different opportunities for college students and young adults to serve their local community during the summer months. Check out what we have going on here at home and see how you can dedicate your summer to Christ!
All questions regarding summer mission opportunities can be directed to Meg Aspinwall.

The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.

Totus Tuus offers a week-long, parish-based summer youth mission for students in grades 1-12. Four college-age missionaries teach and facilitate a program of catechesis, prayer, and fun for parish youth. The program is split into two parts: a day program for children in grades 1-6 and an evening program for teens in grades 7-12. Totus Tuus places a particular emphasis on Marian devotion (Totus Tuus was Pope St. John Paul II’s papal motto – “Totally Yours”, referring to consecration to Jesus through His Blessed Mother) and devotion to the Most Holy Eucharist. In addition to fun skits, songs, and games, Totus Tuus also features daily Mass and Reconciliation for the day program, and Eucharistic Adoration, Reconciliation, and Night Prayer for the teen program.
Are you interested in spending your summer getting paid to evangelize, grow spiritually, and make life-long friends? Find out more about being a Totus Tuus Missionary today! |

Love Begins Here is a local mission trip program for middle and high school teens. Modelled on the life and teachings of St. Teresa of Calcutta, each week several parishes bring groups of teens to live in community, pray, and serve at a “host parish” somewhere in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Love Begins Here impresses upon missionaries the teaching of Mother Teresa that “we cannot do great things, but only small things with great love.” The service on Love Begins Here focuses on serving individuals within the community: yard work, basic cleaning, and visiting with people. Like St. Teresa, we believe that in America the greatest poverty is that of love and authentic relationship. Love Begins Here seeks not only to provide service opportunities for our youth, but more importantly, to show them the foundation of Christian service: a loving relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. Each day features daily Mass and the Rosary, bookending our work with prayer. Our core team (college students and young adults) gives a talk each evening on the teachings of Mother Teresa or some other element of the Christian life. Each week also features the opportunity for Reconciliation and Eucharistic Adoration. In between our prayer and service, adventures, games, and fun fill out our schedule (examples include swimming, sports, ice cream, and games).
