The Mission of Love Your Neighborhood is to form and send young adults in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee to serve their local parishes and communities with the love of Jesus Christ through intentional commitment to service opportunities and leadership roles in their “neighborhood.”
Milwaukee means “good land.” We love our city and archdiocese because Jesus Christ first loved us and gave his life for us (1 John 4:19, Ephesians 5:2). This love motivates us to serve the “good land” God has entrusted to us. We want to connect you with opportunities to love your parish, city, and archdiocese through service and volunteer opportunities.
here are 3 places to get started:
We want to offer opportunities for you to love your neighbor - that is, find an opportunity in your actual neighborhood. We want to help you get connected and find different opportunities and ways to serve. These are just starting points!
1. your parish communityParishes around the Archdiocese of Milwaukee have many different ways that you can serve locally at the parish, either with a service project or within a ministry. Check out our parish connection page, to contact your parish directly to get involved (if you need help making a connection, please reach out to us).

2. the local communityCheck out our page to see how you can plug into different service opportunities in the Milwaukee area.

3. brew city catholicWe still need a lot of day of volunteers at our events and in the work of evangelization. Did you have a powerful experience at Inheritance or Winter Weekend? Did you make great connections at Brewing the Faith and want to do the same for others? Young adults often ask, "How can I help?" or "I want to be more involved." Click the button to fill out a brief survey of interest, and someone from our team will connect with you!

Brew City catholic core team
We know many young adults have experienced God's blessing through the young adult community. People have encountered the person of Jesus Christ through prayer, sacraments, and community. This connection with God stirs a natural desire in our hearts to serve God and neighbor.
This year, Brew City Catholic is starting a young adult core team to assist with the meaningful work of inviting young adults to know their identity in Jesus Christ, finding a home in a Catholic Church, and living a joyful life of self gift. We don't want to do this mission alone. We need you: your vision, your heart, your gifts. The core team will have monthly gatherings to pray, receive formation, discuss & discern the needs of the community, and grow in friendship as a cohort. We will also have some dedicated time to work in smaller groups or 1-1 on the responsibilities of each role. We will ask for your dedication and commitment*, and want to challenge you to give of yourself joyfully. In the end, we want this to be a blessing to you and the Milwaukee area.
