Instructions
Your information doesn't save if you exit this application or the page refreshes. Therefore, before you begin filling out the below application, here are a few things you will need:
- Name and email addresses for THREE references. You should reach out to them to ensure they would be willing to serve as a reference before filling out our application form. Ideally we would like references from:
- Your Current Pastor
- Lay Minister in the Catholic Church (i.e. Campus Minister, Youth Minister, etc.)
- Personal Reference (non-family member)
- We recommend copying these essay questions into a word document and write these first so you can copy your answers back into this application when you are ready to submit:
Essay Questions (roughly 400 words or less)
1. Your Relationship with Jesus
Tell us about your relationship with Jesus. How did you come to know Him personally, and how has that relationship changed the way you live? What does your life as a disciple look like today, especially in prayer?
2. Your Call to Mission
Why do you feel called to serve as a Brew City Catholic Missionary? What draws you to sharing the Gospel with college students? What do you hope God will do in you and through you during your time on mission?
3. Knowing Yourself & Living in Community
Missionary life is both deeply rewarding and challenging. What strengths and weaknesses would you bring to missionary life? How do you see those affecting the way you live and work in community? What helps you rest, recharge, and maintain healthy relationships?
4. Evangelization & Accompaniment
Jesus met people where they were and invited them to something more. Tell us about an experience when you intentionally accompanied someone in their faith - or when someone did that for you. What did you learn from that experience about evangelization, friendship, and helping another person grow closer to Christ?
